System Administrator
We are looking for a System Administrator to join our IT Team.
As a System Administrator you will maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users, including your own team.
Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
What you’ll do:
- Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers and virtualization
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Project delivery end-to-end.
Requirements
Who you are:
- 1-2 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, + + Network Administrator or similar role - a must
- High level of english, verbal and written - a must
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Experience with networks and patch management (Fortinet, HP hardware)
- Knowledge of MDM softwares (Intune)
- Knowledge of backup technology and systems (Veeam)
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows, MacOS, linux)
- Knowledge of Cloud environments (Azure, GCP) and virtualization (HyperV)
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- professional certification (e.g. MCSA, CCNA) is a plus
