We're hiring a BI QA Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts in order to increase order and extra attention to our data integration and pipeline processes, tools, and platform.
The ideal candidate enjoys optimizing data systems and has a keen eye for the irregular behavior of metrics and numbers.
The right candidate must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

Key responsibilities include:
Analyzing Business Requirements (Jira, PRD), assessing the quality of these to ensure they are Cohesive, Comprehensive, Concise, Clear, and Correct, and assuring the work of others to ensure standards are kept.
Production of quality test plans, test scenarios, and scripts ensuring business requirements are met using SQL queries as required
Highly organized, detail-oriented, extremely responsive, and able to prioritize a large number of tasks
Ensure the system data integrity by maintaining those functions necessary for daily operations.
Managing defects: raising defects, ensuring that all relevant information is logged; reporting, and progression through to resolution.
Testing end-to-end data pipelines to data models (DWH) to dashboards and assuring that the deliverable is met expectations

Preferred Qualifications
BS degree in finance/engineering or a related technical field / equivalent experience.
Prior experience as a QA engineer - Must
Experience with SQL/No-SQL, data warehousing, and ELT/ETL pipelines and BI tools - a big advantage
Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and big data technologies (EMR, EC2, S3, Snowflake, spark-streaming, hive, DBT) - an advantage.
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including experience communicating to both business and technical teams.
Self-motivated work well independently and with others
